Sherpa tool watch matrix

Enicar models, The Enicar Book

Sherpa tool watch matrix

Vandervenus 19 July 2020

Enicar Sherpa tool watches are popular with collectors of the brand and many vintage watch aficionados. In the Enicar book, I dedicated several chapters to these excellent time pieces. Also, I categorized essential data about case sizes, additional features and movement types into a matrix. This overview contained information to easily identify the most desired chronographs, GMT’s and dive watches from 1958 and on.

For the reprint of the book, I redesigned and expanded the matrix with the excellent research by Nico Henke, owner of multiple Enicar Sherpa grails and driving force behind the website enicar101.com. Nico’s aim is to categorize reference, serial and production numbers from the Premier League of Enicar chronographs: the Sherpa Graph, Jet Graph, Aqua Graph and Super Graph. In his archive are already 295 registered watches and by doing the math, he succeeded in giving realistic estimates about the number of Sherpa chronographs that Enicar originally produced. For collectors of the high end Enicar models, this overview is a must!

The second print of the Enicar book is ready for pre-ordering. This edition will contain the Sherpa tool watch matrix as a full spread. Buyers of the first book (and everybody else really) can update pages 260 and 261 by downloading the high resolution PDF file here:
