This remarkable Enicar Saturn-Matic from the late 1960s has a 24 jewels AR1146 automatic day/date movement. I’ve tested the watch for a number of weeks and it keeps time very well. The case diameter is 35 mm (excluding the signed crown) x 43.5 mm. The near mint case has beautiful sharp edges and an attractive blue dial with that goes great with the blue triangle seconds hand. The dial sports the MkIV version of the Saturn logo. If you’re looking for a conversation starter watch on your wrist, this is the one.
The watch comes with a period correct bracelet (18 mm band width) and extra pieces to lengthen the bracelet to your taste.
This watch still has a screw down caseback with no noticeable scratches. The overal condition is excellent+. However, it still is approximately 45 – 50 years old. I cannot guarantee the accuracy and I do advise having it serviced by a watchmaker if you want to wear it regularly. Another word of advice: don’t go swimming or showering with a vintage watch on your wrist. It is not waterproof anymore after all these years.
