Amazing dial, razor sharp case
This Enicar watch from the early 1970s has a 27 jewels AR167 automatic day/date movement. I’ve tested the watch for a number of weeks and it keeps time very well. The case diameter is 35 mm (excluding the signed crown) x 38 mm. The pristine case has beautiful sharp edges and an attractive blue hue dial with amazing depth. The dial sports the MkIV version of the Saturn logo. All in all this is a stylish piece in excellent condition.
The watch comes with a high quality (Joseph Bonnie) leather strap (19 mm band width), containing a period correct buckle.
This watch still has the dealer sticker on the screw down caseback, so I assume it was not worn very often. However, it still is approximately 45 – 50 years old. I cannot guarantee the accuracy and I do advise having it serviced by a watchmaker if you want to wear it regularly. Another word of advice: don’t go swimming or showering with a vintage watch on your wrist. It is not waterproof anymore after all these years.
